why do some people get food poisoning and others dont even though they ate the same food?

A few months ago my whole familiy (4 people) ate the same thing (burritos de adobado) nobody got food poisoning but me. and now again we all ate the same thing (beans rice and potatoes fried in chile) but my mom got sick and none of us did. why?

Immune system varies per person. On what they can and can’t eat. Some food allergies can cause food poisoning. Some things can just not agree with your body.

the 3 other might of got a new batch of something and your mom got a older batch.

The more places you eat, the more you’re exposed to, the more immune you become to getting sick.
This is why the mom or dad should chew the food for the baby so they pass on the antibodies.
