What’s the difference between the caffeine in coffee versus the caffeine in hot chocolate?
Category: Caffeine

Coffee tastes bitter and awful, so people basically put all kinds of junk in it to make it taste better (sugar, cream, etc.) so it’s basically the same as drinking hot chocolate calorie-wise (both fattening). And people tell me they drink coffee for the caffeine, but doesn’t chocolate have caffeine in it? Why not just drink the already delicious hot chocolate then wasting your time with bitter coffee?

The cafeine content in coffee is higher than in hot cocoa. But they both have cafeine. Coffee just has more.

Coffee has a much higher caffeine content than chocolate. Most people won’t even feel the effects from drinking a cup of cocoa. Also, you can put non-fat flavored creamers in coffee which make it a lot healthier.

Caffeine is caffeine, the amount is different.
Only poorly made coffee is bitter.

There is a lot more caffeine in coffee. That said, I drink coffee black because I *like* the taste of coffee. Not everyone pollutes their coffee.

I think caffeine is caffeine. But here’s a web site that gives some info on coffee or caffeine and health. Hope that helps.
