What are people talking about when they say they have outbreaks of genital warts? How long to the outbreaks usually last?

Outbreaks come and go due to lack of medication use.

Genital warts are caused by the HPV virus. Although the warts will go away with treatment, and occasionally on their own accord, the virus usually stays. If the virus is present then you can break out in warts numerous times, but this doesn’t happen to everyone.
So when people refer to an “outbreak” they are talking about warts developing. The time period depends on the bodys reaction to treatment. I have had 2 outbreaks, the first lasted almost 6 months and I had to try a few types of cream and regular blasting with liquid nitrogen at the GU clinic, the second outbreak had cleared up after 3 weeks of using a cream.

Some Tips and Precautions You Can Use Rigt Away :
* Take care not to damage, scratch or pick at these warts.
* Inform your partner, use a condom, and practice safe sex.
* Wash your hands thoroughly with hot water and soap.
* Avoid touching them. Because they are so contagious, you could spread them with your hands.
