no creatine isnt a steroid, nothing even close to it
steroids are hormonal, essentially just artificial testosterone.
creatine helps with muscle recovery and make the muscle retain water. its an amino acid.
the word “supplements” covers many different products so you cant really generalize what they do.
creatine, whey protein, NO (nitric oxide)products, fat burners… are all consider supplements, but they all do different things. There are even steroids sold as supplements.

No, they are not the same.
Without getting into biochemistry, anabolic steroids alters the hormone producing cells in your body to make even more. One of the side effects (among many many bad ones) is to increase muscles.
Creatine is an organic (as in produced in humans, not grown on farms) chemical that supplies energy to your muscles. When you do heavy strenuous exercise for a long period, creatine is used up and you get muscle fatigue. The supplement helps you go a little bit longer.
It is illegal to buy anabolic steroids without a doctors prescription. Creatine is legal and you can buy them at anywhere that sells health supplements.
