What is so great about embryonic stem cell research that makes it better than adult stem cell research?

For 25 years embryonic stem cell research has been done with ZERO results for treating diseases. Adult stem cell research has led to 70 diseases being treated. That is why George Bush would not fund stem cell research with taxpayer money. He did not stop funding from private businesses or individuals to embryonic stem cell research.

embryonic stem cells are totipotent, meaning they have the abilty to transform into ANY type of cell or tissue
adult stem cells are pluripotent meaning they can only transform into certain cells/tissues
Theoretically embryonic stem cell processes should be more developed and refined by now with higher success rates, but they arent.
