What does people with bulimia usually feel like?
Category: Bulimia
I’m just curious to see what people with bulimia feel like most of the time because whenever I read stuff about it it says you make yourself sick and tired and stuff.
Do you get like big headaches and stuff? Mood swings?

it feels like throwing up, and you’re probably hungry all the time.

My friend says it gave her headaches and she was hungry almost always, which made her act moody.

bulimia is a sickness when woman mostly sometimes men .. eat and then throw up make themselves vomit so they don’t gain weight ..or it’s sometimes it’s for the sense of being in Control as well
it might include headaches and mood swings but that’s not what Bulimia is ..

You probably do get all of the above. I also heard that they are very self conscience and if they do eat too much, they get sick anyway. And the acid will scorch their esophagus so their voice will sound worse.

In the beginning yeah you get head aches, a little moody, light headed, but once you do it for a while you get used to it and then feel like crap when you eat. Throwing up makes you feel better and it’s purely psychological. You feel like crap if you eat and don’t throw up cos you feel bad for eating and you feel like you need to throw up or you will get fat and that’s usually the reason why you feel like crap. I’ve been this way for over 10 years now and I get he occasional lightheadedness, but I have to throw up or I’m not happy. I am very depressed if I have to eat and can’t throw up immediately.. I’ve been in treatment, but it’s like a drug…. so go ahead thumbs down me… i’m used to being dumped on.

People that have Bulimia Nervosa binge eat as much as they can. Then either over-exercise the food out of they’re body; take laxitives; or make themselves vomit to excrete the food back out of they’re body.

its not about feeling fat – ignore people who say that. you feel helpless and trapped in a circle of destruction, yes headaches are common, and you become used to being in a constant lethargic state because you are not keeping food down long enough to benefit from the energy. also something that occasionally happens is due to the strain of making yourself sick the blood vessels on your face will burst – which is not very attractive but not permanent. just after you have eaten you can become fidgety and uncomfortable – as if everyone is looking at you and judging you because you have not puked up yet. in fact it feels like everyone is judging you the entire time. also after you have been doing it for a while you begin to gag and bring up sick without even having to force yourself.
its not nice.

You can’t stand the feeling of being “full” . In fact, you feel most attractive when you are hungry.
When I feel full my heart starts racing and I want to cry. I can’t sit still, especially if I am somewhere where I know i won’t be able to throw up.
At times I feel very weak. I feel disgusted by my habits. I get leg aches due to electrolyte imbalances and postassium deficiencies. oh and my teeth are starting to look weird.
