LOL NO you cant get food poisioning from someone who had it!! Food poisioning is just what it says…you get it from FOOD. Only way you would get it is if you ate the same tainted food that the person who got sick from it. Most tell tale sign of food poisioning is nausea and vomitting within a few hours of eating the tainted food.

Vomiting and no you can’t get it from someone who had food poisoning. You can only get it from food.

Food poisoning is not contagious. People that get it in a group only do because they all ate the same food most likely. Symptoms of food poisoning come on within a couple hours of eating the tainted food. The symptoms are vomiting, intense abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. It is not a fun thing to go through. My husband had it once and he had the hardest time even keeping down water.

Food poisoning sucksass — You get the cold chills at first before mad-dashing to the toilet. At which point you proceed to yack your body inside out. You shiver and moan (and occaisionally pray for death) in between. After the first bout with calling Ralph on the big white phone, you retire to your bed where you ask God why me. Suddenly discovering your body is ice cold, you jump under every blanket you can find
in the house only to pass out and wake up in a bed soaked with sweat (and your sickness) . You get up feeling as if you just ran a 26 mile marathon (from the cops) and got hit by a bus on the way. You stumble into your bathroom various times of the night (and day) where your system has converted your solid food to runny liquids forcing you to experience the “green apple quick step” (hey….cha cha cha….lol) –repeat the above 3-5 times and you have standard food poisoning . And I really don’t wish it on anybody. Now – if you and the other person didn’t eat the same food as you but you both feel the same illness — maybe it’s the flu (close symptoms) .
