People do not normally do eye transfers… in fact I have not heard of it, at least in AMerica.

Glaucoma is usually treated with medication and surgery here and the prognosis is very good. They use a laser and remove as much of the pressure as possible. Medications can also help relieve the pressure in the eye and they usually start with this first.

Unfortunately, these treatment options only help slow or stop the vision loss…it doesn’t help regain the vision lost at this point. Good luck

glaucoma is when the pressure in your eye goes too high. the fluid in your eye doesn’t drain like it should. 16 is not that bad. if it gets to 20 it is a little bad but that won’t cause him to loose his sight. the number would need to go much higher (like in the 40′s to cause vision loss).
i have glaucoma and my pressure is 20 most of the time and i’ve gotten up to 46 and have not lost vision.
there is no set amount of time that it takes to reach 20 it can at any time and it can go back down at any time.
usually the eye doctor would give him eye drops to use to control the pressure.
if that doesn’t work there are 2 surgical options. one is called “freezing” they kill off cells that produce eye fluid. problem is once the cells are dead they are dead and if his pressure goes too low they can’t fix it and his eye could deflate and would need to be removed. so i don’t recommend this surgery. the other surgery is where they put a tiny tube into the eye and it helps the fluid to drain how it should. with this option if the pressure gets too low they can always take it out and he wouldn’t loose his eye.

NO you cannot donate your eye. that would not help in any way and would make you loose A LOT of vision.

16 is not too bad.By the addition of certain medications it can be brought down furthur.Eye donation will not help b’cos only a part of the eye (cornea) can be transplanted.Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve.
Law does not permit eye transplantation from a live donor.Do not worry too much.Follow your doctors advice and that will help your brother to preserve whatever vision he has.
