Bought this humidifier last winter for use in my master bedroom. Although the water tank is awkward to fill (must be turned upside-down onto its sloped top, which causes it to tip over), the unit ran fine and kept the room at an acceptable level of humidity to help with my chronic dry-eye. (Although, it is worth noting that, even on the “low” fan setting, the water tank would run dry in about 18 hours.) And I was pleased that it was nearly silent, aside from the occasional gurgle from the water tank.
At the end of the winter, I cleaned the unit and put it into storage. About a month ago, I brought it back into service. It ran fine for few weeks and then suddenly began making an irritating rattling noise. I took it apart, cleaned it thoroughly, and tried again. Same result…an annoying rattle that kept me awake until I unplugged the unit.
So, I guess I should be happy that I got a few months use for my initial investment. But, I dunno, I guess I just don’t like the idea of throwing away a non-recyclable plastic appliance every year. Maybe I can pawn this off on a hearing-impaired person on Freecycle….

We own this humidifier and use it all winter long. It works great and can usually out about a gallon of water into the air per day. There is nothing fancy about it, it just does what its supposed to do.

had to return this after just one night. It sounded like a row boat tied to the dock in choppy water.
