I’ve never heard of anyone having one. Have you raised the head of your bed 6 inches? Makes all the difference in the world. If you have, are you on ranitidine? Still no relief? Better see another doctor. Good luck, hon.
there is a surgery called a fundoplication or nissen surgery. during this surgery the upper curve of the stomach (the fundus) is wrapped around the esophagus and sewn into place. this strengthens the valve between the stomach and the esophagus which stops acid from backing into the esophagus so easily and allows the esophagus to heal. you can find out more info on webmd
