My son also had pyloric stenosis around four weeks of age. He did all the same things you are describing and While his primary care doctor wanted to try different formula and give it time after a day, I noticed he was showing signs of dehydration. We took him to the emergency room and he was in surgery for the pyloric stenosis within four hours….

We thought my son had a PS but after a scan it showed he did not. He did though do all the thing your son does and could never keep anything in his stomach. He had severe reflux but also had feeding difficulties. He was tube fed for 4 months but still made no difference what went in came out. In the end he was moved to a milk called infatrini and this has more calories than normal milk so whatever stays in leave more calories in and eventually he started putting on weight…. they also offered infant gaviscon and another milk thickener but we found it made him constipated and then when he strained to poo… more came out that without the meds. One thing to remember is it always looks like more milk than it is…. to help yourself pour 5oz of water on the floor or however much milk he is taking at the moment and it will help you calculate how much milk he has lost!! My little boy was about 14 months when he finally grew out of this and things do get much better when they are moved to solids although projectile carrot is hell on the white walls!!! I remember thinking… this will never ever end …. but slowly it did… He vomited the other day as he had a gastro bug and both my husband and i did not know what to do because he had not puked for so long!!!
