As one can infer from the above review, moderation is key. :)

After a few years of taking No Doz, I can recommend a few things based on my experience:

    - don’t take on an empty stomach (but if you insist, just bite off & swallow less than a third of the pill)

    - make sure to consume sufficient water and electrolytes (especially sodium and potassium) or the caffeine might actually make you tired; get electrolytes from bananas, salted nuts, orange juice, gatorade, etc.

    - only take the pills orally, other routes are inefficient and possibly dangerous

    - taking caffeine will not help your energy levels unless you eat a balanced diet, have a consistent sleep cycle, and get regular (3+ sessions per week) cardiovascular exercise

    - do not combine with alcohol, especially if you are attempting to “sober up”

    - do not take with ephedrine or recreational drugs

    - I have been taking No Doz with my Wellbutrin (AKA bupropion, Zyban) with no detrimental effects, but ask a doctor if caffeine is safe to take with your prescribed medication(s)

The small NoDoz pills have an amount of caffeine equal to one cup of coffee and are easy to swallow.

This is the least expensive caffeine product per dose.

It’s caffeine…so unless you just came out of the cave you have a good idea of what that does…

Some days I drive a lot…like across multiple states. White Line Fever/Highway Hypnosis/Driving Without Attention Mode (DWAM) is a distinct reality…and not a good thing. An occasional one of these SERIOUSLY helps. It’s about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee so it’s not gonna send you to the moon…but will allow you to get yourself home or at least somewhere safe enough to rest. Actually, some coffee “products” have more caffeine. So it’s not like you’re gonna “overdose” on one tablet. Yeah sure…there’s a “Starbucks” on every corner…but just try to find one on some of the more “lonely” highways out there. I keep some in every car/truck I own.

    Oh yeah…I did say it’s a multitasker…

Ever read the ingredients of “Extra Strength” aspirin..? Know what makes it “Extra Strength”? Caffeine. Yep, caffeine boosts the effectiveness of aspirin. No, I do not understand the mechanics of that (nor do a lot of people)…but I don’t care. It just does. Several years ago I had a “near catastrophic” back injury…and pain is something I get to deal with fairly often. One of these and a couple of aspirin is usually enough to at least take the edge off…without making me “loopy” like some of my other medications can.

I began taking NoDoz in high school, and I dare say that not one book report would’ve been written without it. This enabled me admission to the the finest universities for both undergraduate and post-grad diplomas, and subsequently barber college. Also, I thank NoDoz for helping me earn my chauffeur’s license, as well as Class IV Haz-Mat hauler’s certification.

There is no better cure for a snake-infested hangover, and I chew a handful upon awakening each afternoon. Sometimes I come-to with the bottle already in my haNd and pills already in my mouth. In fact, I could go for a couple more at the moment. Just crush them up and snort them . . . have my plastic straw right here.

Y’know, just to get me going – - especially if I have an unpleasant task at hand.

I’ve been hearing noises in the attic again. Nothing uncommon or abnormal about that. Don’t you hear the noises at least occasionally? Nothing to be alarmed about . . . At least until I pulled-down the drop stairs to the attic, and a dead squirrel fell and hit me. Only, its head had been ripped off. NoDoz makes one extra sensitive to smells, and the smell of death reminded me of her.

Thanx to NoDoz, I outsmarted them all, and they’ll never find that body. HA-HA! THE FOOLS! They all spend their lives half asleep, definitely not alert and not functioning at peak, like me.

But that death smell — almost sweet — reminded me of her. So do those sounds. Is that the wind through the eaves, or is it her? Her voice? I need a couple more NoDoz to get my mind together.

Dear Lord! The attic stairs came down by themSELVES! (Where’s my NoDoz?)

    That smell! That noise! IT’S COMING CLOSER! IT’S . . . IT’S . . .
