is there any alternative to beta blockers to treat glaucoma?

Category: Glaucoma

My glaucoma is controlled with beta blocker drops, and while my pressures are now normal, the side-effects of beta-blockade are ,distressing. Bradycardia, lethargy, breathlessness, physical tiredness to name but a few.
Do you know of any Glaucoma medications that are not beta blockers?
I’d be most grateful for any help and advice,
thanks.

  1. Prince Isaac a (**MJ* 1958-09) Says:

Prostaglandin agonist…latanoprost, acetozonamide, carbonic anhydrase inhibitor….b blocker are not commonly used due to this side effect. Pilocarpine, there re so many with less side effect.
