do you mean: Has anyone recovered completely from hodgkins’ disease? If so the answer is complex; Recovery and cure are two different things.

Please see the website below and also anytime you have a medical questions, Mayo Clinic’s web site answers almost everything thoroughly.

Patients have a greater chance of recovery if they are treated in a hospital that does more than five bone marrow transplants a year.

Jean B is quite correct – recovery and cure are two different things.

I am being treated, for the 3rd time, for non-hodgkins lymphoma, which is different than hodgkins lymphoma aka hodgkins disease.

The best resources are medical professionals in one’s own community. Howver, it is nice to be able to supplement that information and support that doctos have to offer. Talking to others who have “been there” can be a supportive measure.

One resource that I like to visit online, every once in a while is the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at http://leukemia-lymphoma.org/hm_lls They cover all types of blood cancers, including hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Take a moment to visit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society web site. I think you will find it a comprehensive site, with lots of information, as well as a message board forum.

If you mean completely cured, I don’t know about statistically, but a girl I worked with had it from when she was 9-14 or around those ages, and she was really sick the docs said she wasn’t gunna make it, she was read the last rights thing by priests….this year marked her tenth year of being in remission :)

My husband was treated for Hodgekins Disease/ Lymphoma in 1998. After 6 months of chemotherapy and follow up testing he was pronounced cancer free. Today, nearly 10 yrs later, he is still cancer free and no longer has to be seen by his oncologist.
