I recommend Yoga, Thai Chi, and Aquatic aerobics (which are very low impact). Also, physical therapy CAN be prescribed for weight loss.

    Avoid hard physical exercises.
    Concentrate on fat/sugar free diet.
Have more of fresh vegetables and fruit.

Eat a lot of green to dark green vegetables, and do light tai chi and yoga… light meaning, stay seated and hold your stomach in as tightly as you can then work those muscles without holding your breath. lift your legs slowly while sitting as many times as you can without straining them it may be once or twice but movement will eventually make you feel a little better…see your doctor also

i would see your doc and he will set a level for you. first you have to start a food diary. this will tell you how much and when you are eating so that you can see where most of your calories are coming from, be honest and have no guilt the first week. then look at that and go to menshealth.com and go to the lose a pound a week calculator and see how many calories you need per day its about 1200 calories per 100 pounds or something like that. then start making wiser choices and cut out empty calories like sugar and sugered sodas. then increase your water to at least 6 glasses a day. if you can get those two you will lose weight. then after that starts and you feel good about it start adding the low impact exercise that your doctor and you worked out. and if you can walk, walk. its the easiest and safest exercise you can do and if you wander around far enough you can meet new people. good luck on your journey

Well along with exercise you have to eat right I strongly recommend Weight Watchers I am still working on my weight, but in the last 2 months I have lost 40 pounds I also work out I do the elliptical it’s not at all hard on your knees and it burns serious calories. Remember don’t go by what the scale tells you, use a tape measure instead! Everyone body frame differs some have more heavier bones than others.

I have my two cents advice for loosing weigh and here is my trick.
I made my own juice with juice machine and my juice can lower high blood pressure.(carrot+apple+beet root+celery)
I stop eating meat and eat fish instead.( I am not a fan of fish)
I walk a mile around my neighbor sinec I had my car accident and I can not do much because, my back hurt.
I soak my self in the bath tub for relaxing and whenever I want to eat more food.
I stop watching television at night because,I do not want to eat when I see Hamburger Ad.I will drive through in order to please my stomach.
I hate going to a gym and I trade housework as a form of excercise.
I stop eating after 6’0clock at night. Then I can go to bed early .

I motivate myself to loose weight by keeping my picture when I was 25.So, I stop eating extra food.Good luck and take your time to loose weight. You are on your way.

my mom goes through this. aquatics is probably if not the best thing. its very low impact and is easy on your tissue and bones but you’ll still get your heart rate up. also you can try low impact exercises that don’t target(or hurt) your back.when i had a hit nerve in my leg i was always falling and had to use a cane. to get that in shape i did squats w/my fiance who held my but an made sure my back was protected and he would push me up(of course i used my strength to lift up but he help me) last but not least maybe you want to talk to your doc about sending you to physical therapy. and after wards see about massages after your work out that really helps. some physical therapy places will do that for you like they will use heat pads and turn the lights down and its you and your heating pads where you would like it. i sometimes like to fall a sleep when i get mine.but i do recommend a massage!!!! it feels great after intense physical therapy.

    Just wanted to clarify.
I recommend aqua aerobics or anything in water. Good luck.
