How long will my little brothers food poisoning last for?

My 13 year old little brother has food poisoning and i was wondering how long it would last for, also, will he be ok; will it kill him?

it will not kill him. typically twenty four hours.
be sure he stays hydrated. he needs to force any liquid in that he can. And as often as he can. dehydration will make him feel even worse and could land him in the hospital on iv
