How long does it take to clear genital warts after first treatment?

Category: Warts - Genital

I just had my first genital wart treatment today; I did the one where the clinician paints on the podophyllin stuff onto the warts and you wash it off 6 hours later. So, I just washed it off.. How long should it take until I see any real results?

Usually it will take several weeks for the warts to clear up, and also usually more than one treatment, often three or four. Check what the Mayo clinic says about HPV. It is one of the most reliable sites for medical information for the lay person.

It could take several weeks using the method you tried out.

The viral particles are able to penetrate the skin and mucosal surfaces through microscopic abrasions in the genital area, which occur during sexual activity. Once cells are invaded by HPV, a latency (quiet) period of months to years may occur, during which there is no evidence of infection.

If you want to know of a more natural way that has much quicker results then I’d suggest you check out the blog below.

Wartroll does not work . Going to the dr. is the best way I suppose but what will happen is it will take a few days for it dry and scab and come off. Might have to do it in cycles. I got stuff from the doctor and did it at home myself, 3 days on and then leave it alone. Usually take 3 cycles to clear up. Since i do not have insurance anymore i tried every home remedy known… still no luck. Finally I used Dr. Scholl’s freeze off and did it myself. That sssssssss sound will make your toes curl. But they went away at least but did leave a pink circle for a while until the skin finally healed. Lots of Nysoporin several times a day . If youre lucky they will be gone. If not…. life sucks. Just like mine…
