Try listening to the song Psychosocial by Slipknot. It will make you feel a whole lot better. I’ve been homeschooled before. It’s sucks. But the song really made me feel a lot better about myself.

You don’t have social phobia. When I was in junior high, I was just as scared as you are and when I hit high school, I was a confident, popular jock. You just have a lack of experience in social situations. If you see them at the beach and hang out from time to time, that’s a good start. Give them a call, see if they want to hang out at your/their house. And if you actually do have a social phobia, don’t waste your money on a shrink. Join a sports team and you’ll a) build up confidence, b) make friends and c) give you something to look forward to outside of school.

i think the problem is you’re over-thinking everything you want to do…you only need second thoughts on risky things…not hanging out with friends
put yourself in their shoes, if the original you walked up to your friends and suggested an idea for a hangout, how would you think you (them) would react? if they’re nice, they’ll want to do it
and say to your self that you don’t have social phobia, psychological thinking works more than people think it does

These are simple excuses. If you are keen, you can come to know or learn from near and dear friends and relatives also. It is not necessary that you should learn such things from school only. It can be learnt from neighbors also. I think it is only an alibi. I feel there is no phobia and it may be hypochondria.

Try to overcome it on your own. Try to start first going out with your cousins, then later own, cousins friends and then neighbors. And pls, don’t think negative.
