Do I have hodgkins lymphoma disease?

Category: Hodgkin's Disease

I have 3 swollen lymph nodes on my neck, all just below my jaw. They didn’t hurt when they started to swell, but now they are tender to touch. I am extremely tired a lot of the time and have hardly any energy. Also, I used to be very anemic if that has anything to do with this. I also get quite bad night sweats and have have quite itchy skin. I’ve been to a doctor and I am getting my lymph nodes removed but no one has said anything about cancer, does this mean I do not have it? Thanks guys :) x

Its great that you have already been to the doctors and are having this looked over as the symptoms you described are classic of lymphoma. The only way lymphoma can be diagnosed is by a lymph node biopsy. When they talked about removing the lymph nodes did they mention that they will be doing a biopsy of the tissue. This is normally the standard procedure.

They probably didn’t mention cancer as they do not want to worry you. They symptoms of lymphoma can be caused by other conditions as well, so this does not mean you have lymphoma. You will know more once the lymph nodes have been biopsied.

I wish you all the very best, and hope all the results come back clear
