my daughter and her twin brother were born 5 days ago. She initially fed very well and passed her merconium easily. Then suddenly she stopped eating and then vomited bile. She was given a glycerin enema which freed up more merconium and wind. She started eating briefly again but has again stopped eating and no bowel movement. She has been manually decompressed by the pediatric surgeon who states that he feels that she has short segment hirschsprungs. I guess what I need to know is what is the likely long term outcome of corrective surgery and if anyone has had any experience with this…. Click Here to Read More
