10 months ago I had my gall bladder removed..Prior to the surgery I was very thin, then 3 months after the surgery, I gained 40lbs!! I work out 7 days a week, eat less than 800 calories a day, and still, no weight loss. My doctor has done every test and I have tested negative for thyroid disease, etc.. I’m at wits end!!! I’ve been having issues with my stomach/lower abdominal area. I went to the doctor for it, and he suggested it was my gall bladder. I’ve went and had an ultra sound done, and also another test (which, I can’t think of the name) where they inject you with medicine that cause your organs to glow, so they can capture pictures of it. So about 2 months ago, I returned from Costa Rica/Nicaragua and started getting really bad stomach aches, and nausea. I went to the ER because it was getting so bad, and they diagnosed me as having travelers diarrhea. Now 2 months later, it returned only much worse. My boyfriend has been in and out of the ER all weekend with severe stomach pain. At first they thought it was kidney stones, then gall stones, now they believe he has a disease. I have internal bleeding, but not enough to significantly reduce my red blood cell count and my white blood cell count is normal. I have serious heartburn problems along with a bad bloating problem when I eat. I also get a pain in my right side. The doctor’s have determined that it is not gall bladder disease or hemmeroids. I believe that since my white blood cell count is low then I don’t think it would be cancer or any other type of infectious disease. I do not have an upset stomach.
