Are there risks involved when having anthesia before surgery if You have a heart disorder ?

I was looking for to a procedure today,and the anathesioligist (sp) stooped it because I had a high heart rate and an irregular ekg. I was very dissapointed for this surgery was to help with my ongoing chronic pain ?

Shame your doctor didn’t due all the blood work, urine check and a EKG before hand it is usual practice.
can ask me any thing on health I am a wiz. Its my life and job
Its the frickin surgens falt for not checking in the first place …contact another doctor.

It is important that you be in optimal health prior to having surgery. Since this is an elective procedure and not an emergency it is prudent to wait and evaluate the heart rate and EKG and determine what is causing it and treat it. Once you are stable the surgery can be rescheduled. This may be a nuisance as you were all prepared for your procedure but the cancellation is for your own good. A competent surgeon would not operate on a patient who had unstable vitals.
