A question about helicobacter pylori infections?
Category: Helicobacter Pylori

So, is it possible that a h pylori infection goes into the bloodstream?
And if so, what problems does it make?

H. Pylori function by burrowing into the wall of the stomach and releasing a protein that makes their immediate environment (the area right around the cell) basic. They live best in this environment and generally don’t like to leave it. If it were to enter the blood stream it would be more susceptible to phage/toxin interactions.
